If you’ve spent time with us this year, you’ve likely heard us talking about our Vision of the House for 2026: Born Again. As with most endeavors this year, we want to consider how we can be Born Again even in the way we participate in Heart for the House, our end of year giving campaign. What we’ve realized is being born again is a deeply personal, formational, and story-driven process so as our community begins this campaign, our request is this: would you consider where you are in your born again journey?

What does Born Again mean?

Over this last year, we've realized that "Born Again" is so much more than a single moment of salvation. It is a daily invitation to experience spiritual formation - renewing our ways, our thinking, and our perspective. At the start of 2026, we felt a deep resonance that this would be a culturally establishing year for NewSong. We sense an invitation from the Lord and we want to respond to it.

What do we hope the community understands about being Born Again?

As we enter this final season of the year (Season III), we revisit our Born Again theme once again more. Pastor Alvin shared a vital piece of the roadmap for this beautiful journey we are on: this year is actually the starting line of a three year formation journey. What began as a simple word of the year has become a theme we will continue building on in the coming years.

- Year I (2026) Being Born Again in our identity

- Year II (2027) Breaking through into our transformed reality.

- Year III (2028) Translating that transformation to the culture around us

What is born again / birth unto?

When we consider a woman carrying a growing baby in her womb, we notice some beautiful parallelles to the season we find our community in. New life is forming beneath the surface, hidden from sight. But as the time of labor and delivery nears, this new life and the signs of labor become impossible to miss.

Right now, even with a few months left in 2026, we are already crossing the threshold into Year II. We are entering the breakthrough now. In childbirth, this phase is called Transition. It is often marked by intense pressure, mental fatigue, and the desire to quit- yet it is the ultimate sign to the delivery team that the birth is near at hand.

If you have felt the weight of discomfort or felt swallowed by your circumstances- fear not. You are in transition. Be encouraged -the breakthrough into your transformed reality is beginning.

We provide this road map with the hope that each of us may slow down enough to stake our own mile markers in our journey because as we all know, three years can pass by in an instant. Lets not miss what God is birthing in us (or lets not miss the hidden work God has been doing in us)

Maybe end with a reflection question? Or something about Heart for the House? Is there an action item?

As we look ahead to everything God is birthing in our community over this three-year arc, we want to invite you to consider sowing a Heart for the House offering. Your financial support does more than just keep our church doors open and the lights on - it directly funds the staff, ministries, events, and the benevolence used to help people in our community when they find themselves in tough times. Your gift makes this transformational journey possible for all of us.

The invitation is twofold.

Consider your story

Consider …

As we continue following the roadmap the question remains: will you

As Eugene Peterson says about the Israelites “they knew that God had invaded their history” we would like the same to be said about us.

As we prepare ourselves for 2026, we are reminded that becoming a generous people is one of our core intentions in the community. Since we do not take a regular offering during our Sunday service, we partner together at the end of the year through the annual contribution opportunity, Heart for the House.

We have been greatly blessed by participation in previous heart for the house opportunities, the thoughtful spending on events, and the collection of registration fees have helped us to steward spaces of connection for our community

From our Heart for the House in 2025 we were able to

  • ??

  • continue healthcare for the full time staff,

  • building updates?
